Register your interest here to attend one of our Nature Exchange Tree Parties!!
Yellingbo June 15 (registrations closed) July 6 (registrations closed) Sept 8 - private booking
This is your opportunity to get hands-on and take some positive action to create more vital habitat for the critically endangered Helmeted Honeyeater and Leadbeater’s Possum, which also happen to be Victoria’s State bird and animal emblems.
We will be meeting at the Yellingbo Nature Conservation Reserve, where we will go on a leisurely wander through the stunningly beautiful forest, lead by the YNCR Environmental Co-ordinator. We will keep an eye out for some HeHo’s as we learn about the current status of these birds in the wild, the recovery program, and the efforts of community to make it happen.
We will then stop for lunch (which will be undercover), before heading to our planting area to get started on creating new habitat, and should be finished by mid-afternoon.
It will be a lot of fun, as we come together with other like-minded people, and make a direct contribution to the recovery project for these endangered species.
You CAN make a difference!! These dates are free to attend, but you must register below ⬇⬇ so I can confirm numbers with the Reserve, and also provide you with more details about time and meeting point etc… Thank You!!!
